The Process
Concept
It begins with an idea and some scratch paper. I work closely with local artists as well as a graphic designer in Portland who help bring my visions to life.
I come up with a concept, choose the colors, style, sketch it out, an overall idea of what I want the graphic to embody, how it should feel.
Design
Together we begin the design process, the back and forth process until we have dialed in exactly what I am looking for. This is the most exciting part of the brand, seeing an idea come full circle and into the world for all to enjoy.
Once I have the final graphic in the correct file form, I order the heat presses and the apparel that I want it to be on.
Press
After a lot of trial and error I am able to narrow down exactly which pieces look best with each graphic. I press it all myself in my home studio. All of the graphics are pressed with eco-friendly ink, and are able to be washed as usual without cracking or fading.
Shoot
I then work with several local photographers to bring the apparel to life, and showcase the laid back lifestyle brand that is Out West Design Co.
